The Wine Trail Rides, hosted by culinary guide WindsorEats, are a great way to explore Essex County’s wine region.  Cycle through our beautiful region and explore the sites, sounds and tastes of Ontario’s other wine route!

Each Wine Trail Ride includes tastings, tours, a guide, support vehicle and a meal made with local foods produced in the region.

2009 Culinary Tourism Experience Award, Ontario Culinary Tourism Alliance

This award recognizes an Ontario committee, organization or community who has:

1. Made an outstanding contribution to the promotion of local food and drinks in Ontario over a prolonged period of time and most particularly over the last year.
2. Has demonstrated leadership, professionalism, and integrity in promoting Culinary Tourism in Ontario.
3. Has shown dedication to customer service, innovation, creativity, and regularly goes above and beyond to contribute to the success of the event, service or business for which they represent.

2010 Innovator of the Year, Tourism Industry Association of Canada

In November 2010, the Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC) announced the winners for the 2010 National Awards for Tourism Excellence, presented by The Toronto Star and Adriano Ciotoli and Pina Ciotoli of WindsorEats.com were selected as “Deloitte Innovator of the Year Award” for their innovative Wine Trail Rides.

WindsorEats.com has been the generator of unique culinary experiences throughout Windsor-Essex. The culinary guide is known for creating events such as Eat Your City Culinary Week, Winter Bites Culinary Week and the award winning Wine Trail Rides, which created a tourism market where none existed before.

The National Awards for Tourism Excellence have been presented since 2003 by the TIAC to recognize the best of Canada’s tourism industry, and to reward those people, places, organizations and events that have gone above and beyond to offer a superior tourism experience to travellers in Canada.
