The name Souq derives from the Arabic word for market and the restaurant is serving up a smorgasboard of offerings from across the Middle East and northern Africa.
Here are five dishes that we felt you absolutely must try if eating at Souq.

You may think I am taking an easy way out by starting off this list with a fatoush. Well, this isn’t a normal fatoush. The chopped tomatoes, cucumbers, green onions and parsley are smothered in a delicious tahini with a squirt of lemon and dried mint. It’s creamy goodness.
KUFTA WITH TAHINI

Ready for some more delicious tahini? The Kufta with Tahini is a traditional dish from the Levant. A layer of fresh ground Ontario beef is mixed with a delicious blend of herbs and spices. It’s then topped with a layer of fresh cut potatoes served in a tahini based gravy. Yes. I said it’s a tahini based gravy and it’s fabulous.
