The weather couldn’t dampen the party at the WindsorEats Food Hall for the 2024 Masters of the Brewniverse this weekend.
Craft beer enthusiasts from around the region gathered to celebrate as breweries showcased their unique creations, hoping to earn the prestigious title of the Master of the Brewniverse.
The competition was fierce, with 11 breweries submitting 18 beers that were made exclusively for the festival. The atmosphere was friendly, lively and very 1980’s, with everyone enjoying the opportunity to share their passion for brewing and beer.
Not only did judges vote for a champion, people came in their best 80’s attire to this unique event and took plenty of notes (and samples) before wielding their power to choose the People’s Choice winner.

- Rose City Beer Works (Windsor, ON)
AND THE WINNERS ARE…
After all the votes were tallied for People’s Choice, we had the most spread out results to date for the festival. However, one did slightly stick out ahead of the rest of the pack. The people have spoken and the winner of the People’s Choice Award at the 2024 Masters of the Brewniverse is…
Blood Brothers Brewing from Toronto, Ontario, for their Thunder Punch!
Thunder Punch is a smoothie sour ale with pineapple, banana and coconut. Blood Brothers went all out, creating Brewniverse specific cans for the event. This splendid brew brings the island to the mainland: picture a sour-based piña colada and you are almost there…and be sure and bring your sandals!
As for the judges, they chose a different beer. The winner of the 2024 Masters of the Brewniverse is….
The Beerded Dog from Harrow, Ontario for their Guava Berliner Weisse!!!
In a first for Brewniverse, we have a brewery winning for the second time, with Beerded Dog having won back in 2022. The Guava Berliner Weisse is a classic sour style that shows some gorgeous pinky hues that will pour thick, tart, fruity and fresh – all while being only 2.8% ABV.

If you enjoyed the beers at the event, or weren’t able to attend and want to give them a try, don’t worry! We got you! Today we’ll be offering each and every beer showcased at Masters of the Brewniverse at the WindsorEats Food Hall, located at 400 Erie Street East. You can either enjoy them in our space or on the patio along with something to eat from one (or all) of the three food trucks parked on site, or take them to go. All quantities are in limited supply.
Also, many people have asked if our Masters of the Brewniverse tasting glasses are available for sale. The answer is YES! The 5oz Brewniverse themed tasting glasses will be for sale at WindsorEats for $8 each, taxes included.
