The Downtown Windsor Farmers Market has been a success story

Commonwealth Games gold medalist, Jamie Adjetey-Nelson visits the Downtown Windsor Farmers’ Market this Saturday, October 23, 2010 from 10am to 12noon. Jamie has a strong sense of community and will take some time out of his busy schedule to meet fans and sign autographs.

There are only two weeks left of the market season and organizers are working hard to make the final weeks the best of the year.

In addition to the Adjetey-Nelson appearance, OneChange will be giving away free digital tire gauges starting at 8am (while supplies last) and Ohkwa•lí Native Crafts will be doing a craft demonstration starting at 10am. As with every week there is a free gift for kids too.

It’s been a great growing season and the amazing weather means that there are still lots of fruits and vegetables available: fall raspberries, tomatoes, apples, pears, eggplant, hot peppers, beans, carrots, cauliflower, brussel sprouts and more!
